Louise Gibbs collaborates with a group of national musicians in this unique event. As the organisers say: "The idea is to take jazz to a mainstream audience that would ordinarily over look it. In short, we want to help put jazz back on the map by taking the principles of improvisation and collaboration to the extreme. We’re working on a national odyssey that will push the limits of musical possibility – a piece of music that will be performed non-stop for seven days over seven cities, and involve local talent from the cities through which it passes: London, Brighton, Cardiff, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh. We’re launching on 7th September at PizzaExpress’ Jazz Club Soho and will be in Leeds on the 12th." More information to follow...KEEP YOUR EAR TO THE GROUND
